Water's Edge
This lakefront estate, located just 10 miles outside of Boston, boasts thoughtful details in every corner. The homeowner hired Archwright during the preconstruction phase, which allowed us to collaborate with the team throughout permitting, pricing exercises, and design development. The property is located in a conservation resource area and has a tight layout regarding setbacks, making design and engineering both critical aspects of the project’s success.
For construction, we razed an existing structure to make room for the new 10,000 s.f. build. The interiors incorporated salvaged beams from a 100-year-old post and beam barn that we sourced and shipped from Pennsylvania. Calacatta Machia Vecchia, a premium Italian marble, adds elegance to the expansive and open kitchen layout. Stone was bought in from Vermont to adorn veneers throughout the interior and exterior. Finally, we incorporated architectural metalwork throughout the home. An inspired mix of metal from brass to stainless steel exudes variety and personality.
